Brow Pre-Care
Woman with Brow Brush

So you always hear of the After Care but the Pre-Care really can help you achieve much better brow results.

The preparation doesn't just start when you come to get your brows done, these are some things you should take into consideration and do before your treatment.

  • Avoiding caffeine and alcohol 48 hours before really helps with the treatment as alcohol & caffeine thins the blood which can affect the results during and after treatment and can cause bruising.

  • Definitely no caffeine or alcohol the day of your treatment.

  • Do not take any blood thinning medication such as ibuprofen and aspirin 48 hours prior to treatment.  If you are prescribed to take this medication then please do not stop taking this and consult with your doctor before the brow treatment.

  • Pay attention to your menstrual cycle, the actual brow treatment is not very painful but your menstrual cycle can heighten pain and sensitivity for your own comfort.

  • Please have your brows shaped ie. plucked, waxed or threaded  before you attend as plucking can take up a considerable amount of time from your appointment and can also aggravate the skin prior to the treatment making it uncomfortable during placement of pigment, plucking, waxing or threading should be done at least 3 days prior to your appointment.

  • If you have them tinted regularly and want to continue tinting your brows and have the colour of your pigment match your tint then this should be done prior to your treatment, but this should be avoided in for at least 3 days prior to your treatment.

  • Avoid Fake Tanning for 2 weeks prior to your brow treatment.

  • Avoid any anti ageing or facial treatments such as microdermabrasion, chemical peels, lasers or facials for at least 2 weeks before your appointment.

  • Do not opt for any facial injections such as botox for at least 2 weeks prior to your treatment.
